The Emergency Shelter Program provides short-term and immediate assistance to homeless individuals, families, or those that might otherwise need emergency temporary shelter. This program serves Leon county only.

Emergency Food Assistance Program
|
The Emergency Food Assistance Program distributes USDA food commodities to eligible individuals and families on a monthly basis in Leon, Liberty, Calhoun, Jefferson and Franklin counties. Please contact the CAP office for the distribution date in your area.

Direct Emergency Assistance Program (DEAP)
|
|
The DEAP is funded by Leon County for households experiencing a crisis. It includes:
- Rent and utility payment/deposit
- Prescription assistance
- Transportation
- Food assistance
|

Project Quincy is funded by the City of Quincy and provides emergency utility assistance to City of Quincy utility customers meeting the following requirements:
- 60 years old or older
- Documented medical conditions and/or disabilities
- Loss of income due to injury or illness.

Project Share is funded by the City of Tallahassee and provides utility payment and deposit assistance to City of Tallahassee utility customers meeting the following requirements:
- 60 years old or older
- Documented medical conditions and/or disabilities
- Loss of income due to injury or illness.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
|
The LIHEAP assists low-income households in meeting the costs of utility payments and crisis assistance.
- Priority is given to households with elderly, disabled, or children under 5 years of age.
- Benefit amount is based on National Poverty guidelines
This program serves: Leon, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jefferson and Liberty counties.
