The Family Support Services Department provides a comprehensive, seamless system to assist low-income families to live self-sufficient, quality lives.

Individual Development Accounts
|
|
The Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Program encourages an attitude of savings; allowing for up to a $2,000 match.
- Approved clients with a home ownership goal will be eligible for a four-to-one match
- Clients with a goal of micro-enterprise expansion or post-secondary education will be eligible for a two-to-one match.

Micro-Enterprise Small Business Development
|
|
The Micro-Enterprise Small Business Development Program assists clients with special skills and motivation to start their own business. Assistance includes:
- A Micro-Enterprise loan up to $3,000
- Assistance with financial and marketing plans
- Marketing kit including: logo design, letterhead, stationary, business cards, flyer design and one ad design for their local newspaper.

On-the-Job Training Program
|
|
The On-the Job Training Program identifies specific employability skills and deficiencies by working closely with enrollees through our 90-day program. Participants may receive:
- Part-time employment at our agency for development of skills for the first 30 days,
- Resume creation and job seeking for the next 30 days, and
- Placement with one of our business partners for hopeful permanent employment for the final 30 days.

Family Self-Sufficiency Program

The FSSP is funded by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services; providing comprehensive support to families experiencing chronic financial crisis, and who demonstrate a commitment to overcoming barriers to achieve a higher quality of life. Assistance provided to families enrolled in the program include:
- Food vouchers
- Bus Passes or gas vouchers
- Transportation
- Rental and utility deposit assistance
- Mortgage assistance
- Prescriptions
- Referral and other case management services.
